Helping Children Understand Death

Here is a short list of books and articles that parents may find helpful in helping their children understand the tough concept of death and dying. All books in this list are written from a Christian perspective and will discuss the concept of eternal life.

The first book, What Happened When Grandma Died by Peggy Barker, is my number one suggested resource on this subject. It is a well-written, beautifully-illustrated storybook appropriate for children from preschool age up through the elementary years. Also check out our Coloring Page based on this book. (This is the one provided at our talk at Busy Bee Preschool on the 26th.)
